Lisa began working with Live Love Animal Rescue is 2016 as a foster and adoption coordinator, and quickly learned that she had a knack for working with "spicy" dogs. This knack quickly turned into a passion!
Lisa began to formally study dog training to better serve the dogs in LLAR. By shadowing renowned trainers and attending training workshops, she was able to apply her new training skills with the rescue dogs. In 2020, she transitioned to training full time by founding Live Love Dog Training.
Lisa is a Training Without Conflict (TWC) Certified Trainer. The Training Without Conflict Academy is lead by Ivan Balabanov, a 2x world champion sport dog trainer. TWC prioritizes play-based training, biological fulfillment, and behavioral problem solving by addressing the emotional state of the dog.

Lisa holds a BA in Education and loves to bring her years of teaching expertise to the table when working with the human side of the dog-human relationship. As a Great Dane owner, she has a soft spot for big dogs but also loves helping small dog owners learn how to transform their little one's behavior!

Boarding & daycare is open to current training clients ONLY and must be approved by the trainer. Dogs must be crate trained. First-time boarding is subject to a trial overnight, charged at the regular boarding rate (trial overnights not available on holidays).

Board & Train is most effective for current training clients but may be available to new clients on a case-by-case basis. We meet with you multiple times throughout the board & train to keep you and your dog improving on your skills together. We provide tailor-made videos to keep you updated between sessions and build a library of information for you to refer back to.
3-4 week program
Appropriate for puppies 6 months or younger
Customizable to your goals with your puppy, but generally includes crate and potty training, leash walking, building play, recall, basic commands, handling nuisance behaviors, etc.
4-5 week program
Customizable to your goals, but generally includes leash walking, building play, recall, basic commands such as sit, down, stay, heel. Minor nuisance behaviors will also be addressed in a basic obedience program.
4-6+ week program
Appropriate for problem behaviors such as reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, etc.
Customizable to your goals - we address the same issues as a basic obedience program but also work on rehabilitating any major problem behavior(s).
Our core service area is the Whittier Area and the surrounding 10 miles radius
